Golden light rolls in from the left as the green sits perched above the shoreline, the beach and exposed reef stretching away toward Fidra in the distance. The tide has slipped back, leaving patterns in the sand that mirror the natural folds of the links above.
The contrast between the smooth putting surface and the rugged coast beyond captures North Berwick at its raw, elemental best.
