Winter on Anstruther

Winter on Anstruther captures the rugged Fife coastline in the soft, golden light of a winter evening. The low sun hangs over the horizon, casting long shadows across the fairways and illuminating the land with a warm glow that contrasts beautifully with the cool tones of sea and sky.

In the foreground, the rocky shoreline traces the edge of the course, where exposed stone and tidal pools reflect the fading light. A narrow coastal path winds through the scene, guiding the eye along the contours of the land toward the distant town of Anstruther and the open expanse beyond.

The fairways roll gently toward the sea, their subtle undulations revealed by the angled winter light. The landscape feels open and expansive, shaped by wind and water, and softened by the stillness of the season.

Above, layered clouds catch the last warmth of the sun, blending gold, amber, and muted grey tones into a calm winter sky. The scene is quiet, atmospheric, and timeless — a true reflection of links golf in its most authentic and natural state.
